Ready to switch up your style? While our Press On Nails are designed to stay secure for weeks, removing them shouldn't be a struggle.

Many people worry that press-ons will damage their natural nails. The truth is, damage usually comes from improper removal—specifically, forcing or "popping" them off.

In the video above, we show you the gentlest method to remove your manicure. This technique uses simple warm water, ensuring your natural nails stay healthy and—best of all—allowing you to reuse your luxury press-on nails for another occasion.

Here is the step-by-step breakdown of how to remove press on nails safely at home.

Step 1: The Warm Water Soak

Start by filling a small bowl with warm water. You want the water to be warm enough to help loosen the adhesive tabs or glue, but not scalding hot.

  • Action: Soak your fingertips in the warm water for about 3 minutes.

  • Pro Tip: For faster removal, you can add a few drops of soap or cuticle oil to the water. This helps the water penetrate underneath the press-on nail.

Step 2: Gently Lift the Edges

Once the adhesive has softened, take the wooden cuticle stick (included in your LOST in PARK tool kit).

  • Action: Gently slide the flat end of the wooden stick underneath the press-on nail, entering from the sides (sidewalls) rather than the cuticle area.

  • Important: If you feel resistance or the nail is still "tight," do not force it. Simply put your hand back in the warm water and soak for another 2-3 minutes. Patience is key to preventing damage!

Step 3: Clean Up the Residue

After the press-on nail pops off, you might see some leftover glue or adhesive tab residue on your natural nail.

  • Action: Use a nail file (the 240-grit side is best for natural nails) to lightly buff away any remaining residue. Be gentle—you are just removing the glue, not filing down your nail plate.

Step 4: Prep for Your Next Look

Finally, make sure your natural nails are clean and ready for their next break or new set.

  • Action: Wipe each nail thoroughly with an alcohol pad to remove oils and dust.

Can I Reuse My Press On Nails?

Yes! Because this warm water method doesn't use harsh chemicals like acetone (which melts plastic), your LOST in PARK nails should remain in perfect condition.

  • Simply remove any excess glue from the back of the press-on nail.

  • Store them back in their box.

  • They are ready for your next event!
